The RonSound Ashtro Fuzz has been a mainstay of the RonSound line for over 10 years and is a reproduction of the Sam Ash / Astro-tone Fuzz made in the 60's and used by professional guitarists for decades (Sam ASH / AsTRO-Tone). NOS transistors capture the sound of the original unit and give a great sound that cleans up when you turn down the guitar's volume. Check out the demo below:

Harmony Central reviews of the Ashtro Fuzz can be found HERE!
Please note that the earliest reviewer received a unit that had incorrect diodes in it. This has since been changed and the Ashtro Fuzz is now the bastion of FUZZ it should be.
This is a sample of the Ashtro Fuzz used on a Japanese strat with Texas Special pickups. First, it's played on the neck pickup. Next, the guitar's volume control is turned down slightly so you can hear how the Ashtro Fuzz cleans up and brightens the sound. Click HERE

The following sample was recorded by Ashtro Fuzz owner carlygtr using a Jeff Beck Strat, Reinhardt V-100 and, of course, a RonSound Ashtro Fuzz.
