Effects Repros, repairs and schematics

Welcome to RonSound, home of RonSound effects and repairs. I've been in the pedal business since 1995 and I look forward to doing business with you. Whether you're interested in a standard RonSound product, a custom unit, or just need an effect repaired, RonSound is here to help you out.

RonSound effects are built to last with quality materials and with one goal in mind: your sound! No flashy graphics or paint jobs! RonSound effects are a treat for your ears, not the eyes. Think of them as utility pedals for the guitarist who doesn't care what the pedal looks like, only that it gives the sound it should.

All RonSound effects are standard equipped with true-bypass (unless noted otherwise) and a BOSS-style DC connector.

Who is RonSound??

RonSound was started in 1995 by me, Ron Neely II.  I'm one of the original "boutique" pedal builders, family man, electronics technician, bassist, esophageal cancer survivor and oddball guitar/bass collector (and also packrat).  Also, at one time, I had what was probably the largest collection of vintage Electro-Harmonix gear in the world, numbering over 100 pieces including amps, pedals, and light art.  To make extra cash, I'd rent out my entire collection to a local recording studio for $100 a week.   My triangle knob EH Big Muff was one of the most frequently requested items so I set out to duplicate it to keep the original unit at home where it could stay in it's original box.  The result was the RonSound Hairpie, which continues to be one of my top selling pedals even now, over 25 years later and amid hundreds of other Big Muff clones (over 300 of various versions sold!).  My next project was duplicating the Foxx Tone Machine that belonged to a friend and making it more user friendly, resulting in the RonSound Stone Machine with footswitchable Octave, the first clone to do so.

I still make all my pedals on my own in my shop in Bloomington, IN.  Thanks to the wonders of the internet, things have gotten better as far as sourcing parts and materials but in the end, I prefer to do all the assembly and testing myself to make sure everything sounds and works as it should.   Check out what I have to offer or let me know what you're looking for.
